About this Gallery

In this work I began building my vocabulary with fiber, gauze, and stitching. I’m also began working in a larger scale.  There was some focus on creating more value contrast within the work, so I also started to painting the surfaces. Stitching and piecing became more important and I was exploring the ideas of patch and repair.  My new larger studio allowed me to work in a larger format, but I also still continued small “Fragments” studies.

  • Much larger format – learning to scale up
  • Stitch becomes an important element
  • Adding gauze and value contrast
  • A stepping stone to even larger works
