This work is part of an ongoing series, “Treasure Towers.” Rooted in Buddhist scripture, the term refers to the idea that a “Treasure Tower” of profound wisdom exists within every individual. This inner treasure can be refined and allowed to shine, regardless of our challenging circumstances.

The use of different types of burlap symbolizes a shared humanity. We are all inherently diverse, yet there lies an essential “sameness” that unites us. This installation celebrates the beauty in our diversity and the shared journey we are all on toward becoming our most luminous selves.

Photography by Thomas Halfmann. With grateful thanks for capturing many of these works.
